Finding Focus in the Abundance of Time
Being a liver cirrhosis patient since 2020, I have faced many difficulties and challenges. While medication, periodical blood works, sonography, and endoscopy are carried out per the good doctor's advice, it is the mental disturbances that become a real issue. You are often not allowed to venture out alone for fear of falls, disorientation, and fatigue.
And then there is TIME in capital letters—an abundance of it. At first it seemed manageable, but gradually it became the second most disturbing factor after illness itself. Reading newspapers or novels faltered when attention spans thinned, and one cannot simply sleep through the day. While dedicated caregivers take extraordinary care of difficult diets and daily needs, they must naturally attend to household work as well.
From this came the idea to build an honest space without medical preaching, providing daily number games to fire up mental alertness, bring spirited focus, and help the hands of the clock move with purpose.
